Song in my head for Thursday..... Whew almost Friday!!!!!

Nothing Compares 2 U
by Sinead O'Conner

This is one of my favorites it was written by Prince

it's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away
Since you been gone i can do whatever i want
I can see whomever i choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues`cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby where did i go wrong
I could put my arms around every boy i see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor n'guess what he told me
Guess what he told me
He said girl u better try to have fun
No matter what you do
But he's a fool`cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

All the flowers that you planted, mother
In the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
But i'm willing to give it another try
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

#2 in the stories about Me....

Being scared….
By Kelly (Blue Genie)

I remember the first time Michelle asked me to come out with her. You see I have been teaching dance for 15 years and in the growth of our studio we started doing adult classes. Michelle signed up for hip hop and also clogging. Well after a couple years of knowing her as "Brooke's Mom", I began seeing another side of her....a wild and crazy side. I myself am a closet crazy person, and I love to get crazy and not always have to be known as "Miss Kelly". Sometimes the stories I would hear coming from Michelle in clogging class would about put me on the floor! (Sometimes from laughter and sometimes I wanted to go in a hole and hide from her!) Of course I always loved to hear the stories; it made clogging class very entertaining. I believe the stories I enjoyed to most were the ones she would tell when the boss lady wasn't in class. Stories of her dancing on the bars, dancing on the stages, and all of the crazy trouble she found but never got into! So my 30th birthday was coming up and I was telling the girls in class that I didn't know what I wanted to do for it and Michelle says, "I'll take you out for your birthday Miss Kelly" keep in mind she says this right after sharing what she did at the titty bar the night before. Honestly, I was scared to death! I live a very different life outside of the dance studio, and at that time I didn't think Michelle knew about my secret life, (turns out she knew a lot longer than I thought). So anyway I go home and tell DD, aka Billie O, that Michelle wants to take me out for my birthday. She was scared too, I know she was. I never did end up going out with Michelle for my 30th, I just wasn't ready to let my wild side out with the "mom", but she will definitely be at my 31st and many more to come! Michelle isn't scary at all, and now she is way more to me than "Brooke's Mom" Michelle is comfortable with herself and her actions! Thank you Michelle for your persistence and patience in my friendship! YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME!

Love ya!
Blue Genie

Kelly you mean the world to me to sugar! Not only are you an awesome dance teacher you are an awesome person inside and out! I asked Kelly frequently to go out with me because I knew that girl needed fun and I also knew she was afraid to be herself. I wanted her to know there are people out there that accept you as who you are! I knew I could let her be her and surround her with people that allowed the same. I also adored Dd and hadn’t got to see her much since she quit working at the studio and since they live together I knew if I got them both out they would have fun! To let Kelly’s crazy out of the closet has made my life even more fun! My friends love Kelly and Dd with all they have! You both have been a great addition to our circle. Now I have someone to dance along side of me on the bar!

Song in my head for this weeks HUMP day....

Brown eyed girl
Jimmy Buffett

I am Timmy's brown eyed girl!

Hey, where did we go?
Days when the rains came
Down in a hollow
Playin' a new game
Laughin' and a runnin'
Skippin' and a jumpin'
In the misty mornin' fog
With our hearts a thumpin'
It was you, my brown eyed girl
You, my brown eyed girl

Now what ever happened
Tuesday is oh so slow
Goin' down the old mine
With a transistor radio
Standin' in a sunlit lane
Hidin' 'hind a rainbow's wall
Slippin' and a slidin'
All along the waterfall
It was you, my brown eyed girl
You, my brown eyed girl
Do you remember when
We used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la ti da
Sha la la la la la la la la la la ti da

So hard to find my way
Now that I'm on my own
Thought about it just the other day
My, where's the time all gone
Can't remember back then Lord
Sometimes I'm overcome thinkin' 'bout
Makin' love in the green grass
Behind the stadium
With you, my brown eyed girl
Do you remember when
We used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la ti da

I have my eye on you.....

Well I was gone yesterday to hopefully get my stitches out of my eye but they are going to keep them in for 6 more months. Am I disappointed? Hell no! I didn't want to have to sit still while he took a razor blade to cut them out anyhow, so I was like okay no biggie. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my other eye doctor and we should be able to order a contact. I am crossing my fingers we will get it corrected to 20/20. I haven't seen anything out of the eye for 10 years now so I will be tickled with anything close to 20/20. Isn't that amazing that someone I didn't even know gave up their loved ones eyes to save my sight? It is to me. For some of you that don't know my story I thought I would fill you in. I hope my story will encourage all of you to be on a donor list.
I was diagnosed with Karatoconus 19 years ago in both eyes. What is Karatoconus? Keratoconus, means that the natural curvature of the normal cornea has changed to a cone-like bulge due to a thinning of the cornea. Scarring of the cornea often occurs. This affects vision, which may be blurred or distorted, or may produce a ripple effect. As the disease progresses the affected eyes become increasingly nearsighted (myopic). In its most advanced form functional vision can be destroyed, which would be what eventually would happen to my right eye. So for the last 10 years I went with out vision in my right eye until March when I finally went in and had a cornea transplant. I wrote the family of the donor to thank them for the gift they have given me and I received a letter back from the wife of the man that donated his eye to me. It was such a touching letter. I cried over it and read it everyday for 2 weeks. I will let all of you read it if you want. Her husband was 49 years old and he died suddenly from heart failure due to pneumonia. What I thought was touching is he had two different colored eyes as I do. One of mine is brown and the other is green. The gift this man has given me is beyond words to me. I am so thankful. I am excited to have my sight back and really excited to try it out on darts! Wow I hope it improves my game! It will be awesome to bowl again too, I had to give that up because of my sight impairment. So look out gang maybe I will finally win at darts! ha-ha (I have before but I think full sight might give me more of an advantage!) Everyone's support through this eye thing has meant the world to me, I have the greatest friends! Money could never make me as rich as I am now! *smooches*

Tuesday..... I will be gone!

Tuesday I am posting early because I will be gone. I will be getting hopefully the rest of the stiches removed from my eye. I am thrilled, I will have a contact fitted then and I will be able to see for the first time in 10 years out of my right eye! Look out for darts this year gang! Hopefully everyone gets me the stories they are working on for me to post. In honor of my eye here is the song that will be in my head for Tuesday! Come on everyone lets get some comments, tell me if you Love it or Hate it! "smooches"

Bette Davis Eyes
Kim Carnes (one of my favorites)
the video will be on the lower one of the blog.

Her hair is harlowe gold
Her lips, sweet surprise
Her hands are never cold
She's got bette davis eyes

She'll turn her music on you
You won't have to think twice
She's pure as new york snow
She got bette davis eyes

And she'll tease you
She'll unease you
All the better just to please you
She's precocious
And she knows just
What it takes to make a pro blush
She got greta garbo stand off sighs
She's got bette davis eyes

She'll let you take her home
It wets her appetite
She'll lay you on her throne
She got bette davis eyes

She'll take a tumble on you
Roll you like you were dice
Until you come out blue
She's got bette davis eyes

She'll expose you
When she snows you
Off your feet with the crumbs she throws you
She's ferocious
And she knows just
What it takes to make a pro blush
All the boys think she's a spy
She's got bette davis eyes

And she'll tease you,
She'll unease you
All the better just to please you
She's precocious
And she knows just
What it takes to make a pro blush
All the boys think she's a spy
She's got bette davis eyes

And she'll tease you
She'll unease you
Just to please you
She's got bette davis eyes
She'll expose you
When she snows you
She knows you
She's got bette davis eyes

Monday's are just fricken Crazy...... so in honor of Monday the song in my head.....

Crazy Train
Ozzy Osbourne

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not to late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate

Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you have the role

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words
Yeh-hHeirs of a cold war
That's what we've become
Inheriting troubles i'm mentally numb

Crazy, i just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair
Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

Here is #1 in the stories about me...... Happy Monday!

First Day on the Job
By Kelli (French~fry)

So here is my story of how and when I met Michelle. It was my first day on the job at WL. And there wasn’t much here at this job site. The offices weren’t finished, I was working out of a construction trailer and there were cute cowboys all around and one Canadian with an awesome accent. So I’m in the construction trailer and they are telling me what they need me to do first, which is mostly shopping and I was totally good with that. Ha ha. Then the Canadian and the cowboy said have you talked to Michelle yet? I said no I haven’t talked to anyone. And they both said oh just wait until you meet her. And they proceeded to warn me about Michelle. So I called her and she seemed so very sweet and pleasant and I loved her voice, I just knew we were going to be good friends from that first day that we met. We talked a lot that day and we have talked a lot pretty much every day since then! A lot of guys from her plant came down here to Cedar to help get this plant up and running and all of them seemed to warn me about her too! I was traveling up to meet her in a couple of weeks and she would train me on my job duties and everyone kept warning me and warning me about her and I thought the sweet girl that I talk to on the phone? Why in the world should I be worried about meeting her?? So then I fly to Casper and go the hotel and Michelle is picking me up in the morning. I’m nervous, of course and I’m waiting right inside the door for her and here she comes in this purple pt cruiser and I get in and Shook me all night long from AC/DC is BLARING she is wearing a leather Harley coat and she has a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. I was like whoa I thought this was a cowboy town! I happen to know the song she is blaring so we sang the whole time on the freeway and I was thinking oh my goodness what kind of company am I working for! No just kidding, we hit it off wonderfully from the first day and she is one of my dearest friends. I love you Michelle and thanks for being you.

Thanks for the memory Kelli. When I picked Kelli up that day I was like oh shit she was wearing a jean skirt and a dress top pretty sure it was pink, and I thought to myself I am going to scare her! I also really think it is funny how the men around here “warn” all the new employees about Michelle. Funny thing is I take care of all of them but I am very brash, out spoken, and usually get what I want because I don’t put up with any amount of shit. When they need something done all of them know I will come through. And at least everyone always knows where I am coming from. To think I use to be shy and meek when I was young. I often wonder what in the hell happened? Thanks for sharing French~fry you are an awesome friend! (here are some pictures of the boys I work with!)
